Overview​

This API documentation demonstrates developer-focused technical writing, API testing, and the translation of a complex analytics platform into clear, actionable documentation for third-party developers.

Project Summary​

Challenge​

The client needed to improve existing API documentation for a complex analytics platform while providing limited technical support during the project. I also needed to quickly develop working knowledge of Swagger, Postman, and the OpenAPI Specification to effectively explore, test, and document the API.

Solution​

I used Postman to explore and test API functionality, updated existing Swagger documentation, and developed detailed content covering endpoints, parameters, authentication, and usage. I also created code samples demonstrating API interaction in multiple programming languages and wrote supplementary knowledge base content for developers.

Result​

The completed documentation provided third-party developers with clearer guidance for accessing and integrating with the analytics platform. The project expanded the existing API reference with more descriptive content, visual guidance, code examples, and supporting developer resources while maintaining the client's conversational writing style.
