RealPresence Integrator and API Guide

Overview​

This guide demonstrates developer and integration documentation for a videoconferencing platform, combining API access, system commands, connectivity methods, and technical configuration guidance for partners and developers.

Challenge​

The guide required substantial updates for a product release while incorporating conflicting user feedback and maintaining consistency across a large technical document. Extensive release preparation and SME review also had to be coordinated within the publication schedule.

Solution​

I collaborated with SMEs to resolve conflicting feedback, divided the content into manageable sections for review, and tracked updates in Jira. I tested and documented SSH access, added descriptions for approximately 70 new system commands, and validated commands using both RS-232 and LAN/Telnet connection methods. I also streamlined existing content to improve readability.

Result​

The updated guide incorporated the release's new functionality while improving readability and usability for partners and developers. The completed documentation provided tested instructions and command information across multiple connection methods and was prepared for publication on schedule.
